Northwest Airlines
Northwest Airline is America’s oldest carrier airline and fourth in the worlds largest and oldest airline.  Their main headquarter is in Eagan, Minnesota in the United States of America. This is a public type of airline that flies in more than 240 cities not just in the northwest countries but as well as in Asia/Pacific, Europe and North America. The company’s objective is to be the worlds most preferred airline and provide more than their passengers’ expectation.

Qatar Airways

Thai Airways

Asiana Airlines

Emirates Airline
This is the first airline allows the usage of mobile phones by their passengers either by text or calls when it signed a mobile communication agreement with Aeromobile.  Each week it has nearly 550 flights in different destinations like in Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific, India, Africa and Middle East.  Dubai International airport is its main hub.

Lufthansa Air
One of Europe’s largest airlines behind Air France - KLM. It has a flight with the different destinations around Africa, Asia, Europe, North America as well as South America.  Germans created it on 1926.  It is also a member of Star Alliance with some of the big airline. Cologne, Germany is its main headquarter.

Philippine Airlines (PAL)
Philippine Airline is a national airline and the first commercial airline in Asia.  It mainly flies around Asia-Pacific region and destinations to United States and Canada are often heavily marketed.  PAL offers domestic flights per day in Manila and other selected Philippine places.  Skytrax awarded Philippine Airlines a three star rating.  Its main hub is in Ninoy Aquino International Airport and Mactan- Cebu International Airport as its secondary headquarters.

Korean Air
Korean Air serves to different networks in Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, Australia and the recent one in South America.  It competes with smaller and new fleet like Asiana Airlines.

Singapore Airlines
Currently flies into 64 destinations in 35 countries on five continents of the world.  Singapore Airlines operates one of the youngest fleet worldwide wherein it features its three aircraft members: the Boeing 777, Boeing 747 and Airbus A340.  It is a public type with a total number of 28, 558 employees with a 1.5 % employee growth.  Its main competitors include Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines and Malaysian Airlines.

Getting Around
*Want to tour around the country? Then ride on and experience Philippines Public Transportation. You can do this in various ways. Check out the following:

  • RT (Light Rail Transit) - on December 1, 1984, LRT began its operation that serves in the Metro Manila Area in the Philippines.  It consists of two lines: Yellow and Purple Lines.  LRT’s Yellow Line has 18 stations with north & south directions wherein it commences at Baclaran and ends in Monumento.  On the other hand, the Purple Line is made up of 11 stations with east-west directions.  The line starts at Recto and finishes in Santolan.  It is a very quick and convenient way to tour around the city.

 

  • MRT (Manila Metro Rail Transit)- famously known as Metrostar Express or Metrostar, MRT started its operations on the 16th day of December 1999.  Its single line serves 13 stations wherein some stations have island platforms or side platforms like the ones in Ortigas and North Avenue.  It has been one of the most popular types of transportation especially in the busy cities of Metro Manila.

 

  • Jeepney - this widely known public transportation has become a symbol of Philippine culture.  Since, it famed as the most commonly used transportation jeepneys had evolved, this is done in response for environmental and economical concerns.  Furthermore, if you feel like brushing shoulders and knees with other passengers, then jeepney will give you an adventure of jostling that you want to experience.
  • Tricycle- is a three-wheeled vehicle that is used for shorter distance ride.  There are plethoras of tricycles, which dot the streets of Metro Manila.  Usually, locals ride a tricycle if they will go to flea or wet markets.

 

  • Kalesa - it is otherwise known as karitela, this traditional transportation is a perfect transport to tour around the interesting cities and historical landmarks of the metropolis like Intramuros or Rizal Park.
