Tubbattaha Reef Natural Park- one of the most frequented diving destinations in the country and gaining fame across the world.  It homes some of the most astonishing coral reefs in the world.  This beautiful underwater sanctuary is the only National Marine Park in the country and listed as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.  In its recent status in the New Seven Wonders of the World, Tubbattaha Reef Natural Park ranks number 8.  This is the ultimate diving haven under the sea where you can find unparalleled diversity of marine fauna and flora.  Among the marine creatures that you can behold are whale sharks, seahorses, manta rays, Napoleon Wrasse and trevallies. 

Anilao, Batangas- 140 kilometers south of Manila, hides one of the best and extraordinary diving destinations in the world-- Anilao, Batangas.  This popular site for diving and snorkeling are teeming with beautiful marine creatures, quaint corals and awesome diversity of fishes. Cathedral is the most famous among 24 dive sites basked in Anilao.  This popular site is a roofless cavern housing plethora of fishes of different species, colors and sizes.  Another highlights featured in Anilao underwater, is its visibility that tends to be good, in which you can spot larger species like angelfish, triggerfish and snappers.

Busuanga, Northern Palawan- its wildlife sanctuary, amazing wrecks and game reserve makes Busuanga in Northern Palawan an amazing and special diving site in the country.  There are twelve wrecks to feast your eyes and Coron’s limestone cliffs await you as you dive under the sea of Busuanga.  The place is rich with hidden wonders and swarming with marine life.  Added attractions in this popular diving site are beach coves with beautiful lakes and pearl farms. 

Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro- one of the best places in the country to dive and do underwater photography.  This 3rd class municipality in Oriental Mindoro boasts with stunning undersea creatures, lush foliage and sheltered coves.  Puerto, Galera has been drawing myriads of divers not just in the country but also across the world.  Best time to dive in this haven is during March to October. 

Malapascua, Cebu- the island is among the most popular tourist destinations in Cebu as it hosts pristine white sand beaches with crystal clear waters and rich marine species.  Divers can savor sights of five amazing shipwrecks and school of fish foraging for food.  In addition, do not pass the chance to behold very lovely scenery of Mandarin fish doing the mating dance.  It is when they emerge themselves from their hiding places and form pairs.

Sumilon Island, Cebu- this best kept secret islands of Cebu, homes diverse aquamarine species and impressive array of corals.  This marine sanctuary is the first marine protected area in the Philippines and was made a fish sanctuary in 1974 under the guidance of Siliman University Marine Reserve, quoted from travelsmart.net.  There is huge number of divers, novice or advance, visit the area and dive to explore the beauty it has to offer.  Additional attraction here in Sumilon Island is its calm lucid water and white powdery sands, which entices every visitor to lounge until the sun sets. 

Apo Island, Dumaguete- considered as one of the top dive sites to explore in the Pearl of the Orient Seas, Apo Island in Dumaguete offers plenty of opportunities for divers by seeing a wide array of marine species.  At the marine sanctuary, reef fishes, wrasses, tunas, white tip sharks giant clams, manta rays and among others are aplenty.  It offers all types of divers excellent diving panoramas. 

Balicasag Island, Bohol- off Panglao Island lies a diving haven frequented by local and foreign divers.  This is where you find exotic and beautiful corals and rare fishes.  When you dive during December or January you will be treated a view of Hammerhead sharks and sometimes Whale sharks.  If lucky enough, you will be amazed to glimpse the swirling barracudas.  It has been said that it is a “miss or see thing” whilst diving in Balicasag Island. 

Pescador Island, Moalboal- another hot diving destination in the southern province of Cebu.  This marine sanctuary homes massive sponges, soft corals and astonishing gorgonians.  Divers whether advanced or novice always frequent the place to unearth the stunning aquamarine species dwelling in Pescador Island.
